Well, it will never be complete, but I finally have enough kit to do a basic impression . I should look like a Northern Italian merchant circa 1300.

I'm working on a new tunic and overtunic to replace this not so authentic one, and I also plan on making a new pair of hose that don't match my cloak . My clothing is entirely made from wool remnants, so it's sometimes hard to find pieces big enough for cloaks and tunic, hence the less than perfect color choices.

Thanks. I feel kind of funny wearing a brown cloak and brown hose. I had a really nice brown hood too, but decided to wear the green prototype instead.

My next set is going to be a lot more colorful. My tunic will be red, over tunic blue, and hose light brown. It's strange that the green tunic pictured took me a few weeks to complete (with a sewing machine), in contrast, I did the bulk of my over tunic in one day, by hand. My seamstress grandmother says I have the fastest blanket stitch she's seen in years .

It is nice work, out of curiosity what sources did you base your kit on?

I've based much of my kit on the Maciejowski Bible. Of course, some of these pieces are a few years old and I've learned much more since then. My next tunic will be longer, since I think this one is too short, and I'd like to get proper belt fittings one day, but these will have to due for now.
