I finally got around to looking up my thread source, which is Wooded Hamlet designs. They have (or had a year ago) 2-ply handspun even (un-nubbly) linen sewing thread, in 80/2, 60/2, and 40/2, your choice of white, cream or flax colored, plus 16/3 lucet cord (cream only) and waxed linen 'sinew' (5-ply i think) in bone, brown, or black. They have a website, (www.woodedhamlet.com) which I do not think encompasses their whole catalog, and the threads are not listed, but you can order a paper catalog or email them and ask them what happened to their thread (which was listed in an old paper catalog as #130-80, #130-60, and #130-40, the lucet cord was #131-16, and the sinew was #134-5). The linen cost around $11/spool, the spools ranging from 326 to 410 yds, depending on what size thread you chose. They've got some other stuff too, that might or might not be of use, they seem to cater to later period re-enactment. I was rather amused, since their catalog describes the thread as '..handspun, uniform consistency....no appalling nubs...', while the Townsend catalog has a single-ply nubbly thread which they say has 'a handspun look'. Heh.
