2/ Friends are welcome here. SCA, Adria, LARP, I don’t care where you hail from, as long as you’re friendly and want to participate in a spirit of friendship.

3/ Heated debates are to be expected and as such are recognized as a reasonable method of exchange. Keep it civil, avoid personal attacks and you’re within the rules. If you come to lob grenades, hurl insults or otherwise abuse other listmembers, you’re out of here as soon as I see the post.

4/ Trolls will be summarily deleted, and are encouraged to find another hobby somewhere else.

5/If you think these rules are unfair, you probably don’t belong here in the first place.

"Trolling" is an internet term for the juvenile practice of publishing something inflammatory on a newsgroup solely to generate a negative response. I believe it's derived from the fishing practice of dragging a baited hook behind the boat, waiting for some unfortunate fish to bite.

It's usually done anonymously with an assumed name or in the worst cases, using someone else's name.

The only way to deal with this scum is to give them the attention they deserve: none.
