Virginia,
I'm a "chap-stick" addict, but I hate carrying it around at events. I have a little horn container for it, but it still kills my buzz to rub a medicinal-smelling petrolium product on my lips. Do you know of a recipe for a plausible lip balm? I should be able to round up any necessary ingredients. I would be very grateful.
Hope you and the family are doing well.
Jamie

Hi Jaimie and Christine,
sorry not to have answered you sooner, but I have'nt been to Fire Stryker for awhile.
Yes, I agree with you. All I can suggest is to try something I found at the drug store, which says its a hairdressing. It is made of castor oil, but it has Indian Hemp, Rosemary, Spirulina, Ginger root, Slippery Elm bark, Witch Hazel, Licorice Root, Comfrey Root, Flax Seed, Aloe Vera and Beeswax as well as some unpronounceable sunscreen. Any way, it is called ALLWAYS natural Castor Oil and comes in a white container with pink lid. I use it to make some of my balms. I have put it on my lips too and its works. Its also really good for the dreadful CHAFE, both Hugo and Otto love my Chafe stuff.
My only other suggestion, is to go to the health food shop as they have things made with kelp and beeswax and stuff -you might get something you like better. Your little container sounds lovely! If you run aground just slather some pig-fat over your mush, it does the job too. Hope its not too long before we see you again. Virginia
