Hi,

I operate a small independant business in Australia crafting weapons and household items relating to Roman, Celtic, and Viking cultures. I would appreciate some comments, view my site at: www.firedogforge.com

Your site looks good and is easy to navigate. Your items look really good. I would question the dice having plain dots. I am probably mistaken, but believe they should be drilled ring and dot, as is found in 14thc England. I would also question the shape of the shears case following the shape of the shears. But I do not know that time and place very well to know if they had wooden containers follow the form of the item inside.

Something that I have noticed that is missing, not only from that time, but from later centuries is tools. The Mastermyr 'find' has many good examples that could be replicated for sale. Tongs, metal saw, files, spoon-augers, trivets, anvils, adzes, axes, nail making iron (Header), moulding irons, whetstone, etc. Your metal working seems quite good, so replicating these should be easy for you.

Yes I do plan to do woodworking tools, here is a pic of a draw knife not yet on the site.

Thanks for your comments, I also plan to do the ring dot die and can do if people so desire.

Hello Andy,

Very nice work, but you may want to move the thread to miscellaneous merchandise. Just a suggestion.
