Well folks, after about 5 years our group down here has changed focus, and much to my chagrin The Guild of St. Eligius will no longer be doing LH. With this change I find myslef with a lot of items that I'll slowly be parting out from the guilds former armory and loaner gear. I'm at work right now and I'm still having problems with the net at home. Please watch this space as I put up some of the pieces for sale.

thanks,

Db

OK folks here a partial list of the items that are up for sale. There are more that I got in storage up north which I'll go through over the holidays when I go up to the farm. Right now I don't have any pics uploaded but can send you some if interested. Note that these are very well tailored and finshed items, no visible machine stitching and all point holes and most linings are hand sewn. I'm also allowing a 3 day inspection. If you're not satisfied or if it doesn't fit, return it for a refund of the purchase price. You can see some of the items on this page http://gste.org/Web/Gallery/TY04/ I'm wearing the black and yellow doublet and the kettle helm is on Alex.

Kettle Helm w/rolled edge size about 23-24" quilted linen liner period bukle & brass rivets and finial. $75

Ceramic redware costrel based of an english example. $25

Ceramic redware pitcher small $30

Asst. Ceramic redware jars & containers. $15-50

Wool tailed hood in a very dark gray $25

Wool tailed hood in med blue $30

Unworn ankle turnshoes one buckle size 38-39 $50

Unworn ankle turnshoe kit (make it yourslef) size 45-46 $20

Doublet linen in grey size 40 detachable sleeves $50

Doublet wool in navy size 36 straight sleeves $75

Doublet wool in "black" & yellow size 44 straight sleeves $100

I got several belts in various sizes & color historical buckles and strap ends. $15-30

Acorn hat Green in Small $15

Acorn hat "black" Large. $15

Boots "ridding" size 45. Round toed but don't look bad with the cuffs turned down. $50 (these are not 100% historical but are handmade and much better than most farb/ren boots)

Up north I got most of the camp furniture however because of the bulk it may be inpracticle to ship. I also got more armor and swords/daggers/scabbards up there in various stages of compleation and modification. Plus lots of wool and some paltots kits (the blue and white are sewn together the X and lining need to be sewn down) I'm still deciding on what else to keep and what to part with so give me some time to get everything together. Also for those of you on other boards such as LordGreys, AA, and others can you please cross post this if it's appropriate? I can be contacted either through here or my e-mail addy.

thanks,

Db

Could you add the name of the vendor of the items? Our group has a list of "Approved" sources for many items.

Hi Sean the riding boots are roughly a size 11-12. They are a true welted boot and are based on an early 16th cent. example. the heels on these are rubber but can be replaced. The completed turnshoes are a about a 8-9 ladies or 7-8 mens. the turnshoe kit is a mens 12-13.

Jeff I'm familiar with your guidelines I checked them out when Chuck invited me up to Paston. I wouldn't recomend the grey doublet because of it's "swaibish" cut and it's linen. The rest of the clothing should be fine. As far as a vendor there isn't any. I've made most of the items except for the glassware and some of the ceramics (spanish wares). I had to because at the time the doublets were made HE wasn't offering a doublet with point holes along the bottom seam of the doublet. The findings were purchased from HE. Tom Kolb did purchase a helmet from me a while ago. The suspension on this one is the same. I will also extend to Lord Greys the same terms I gave Tom. PM me if you're interested.

hi Dan
Could you put me down for the long riding boots and the costrel. If you can have a think about how much you want for postage (I am in Australia) and how you want to get paid and get back to me.
Cheers

Hello Folks,

Thanks for your inquiries.

John, I just sent you a PM.

Damien, I packed up the boots and costrel into a box and it weighs around 9lbs. Took it to the pot to find out how much shipping would be to the AU and was quoted for Global Express (3-5 days) $55, Air Mail (4-10 days) $50, Slow Boat (4-10 weeks!) $30. For the extra $5 insurance and tracking is included. If anyone else has a better idea for shipping can you please advise. For payment I have a paypal acount set up if you'd like to use that. I accept bank transfers an creditcards through it.

Hugo, I am planning on heading up to the farm over the X-mas Holidays. I was going up during thanksgiving but that depends on work (I'm still working 14+ hour days trying to catch up after the hurricane) I can either have my inlaws take a picture for me or dig up something from the pictures that I have from events. Let me compile a list of the furniture and you can tell me what you're interested in.

Thanks folks,

Db

Put me down for the Grey hood, please. And if Damien changes his mind because of the shipping costs, I would like the costrel. I may be interested in more, once you complete the list of furniture - where is it located? I might be able to arrange pickup.

Thanks!

Possible to post some pics of the jars and belts with an idea of the prices? I might have a couple of people in my group that would be interested in picking up a few things.

Thanks,
