Just to let you know that the first phase of Guild of Saynt Luke is online.

We produce printed and drawn paper and parchment replicas.

The prints are all block prints, each block drawn and cut by me, then all prints produced on a hand operated platen press and then hand finished. Why? because the nature of the materials dictate it, and it is enjoyable.

Items include: playing cards, devotional prints, poison lables and written letters (not scribal hand but informal cursive), prayers and vows.

All paper used is conservation grade hand made stock, the actual type I use has been used to restore a copy of the Nuremburg Chronicles. As it is slightly alkaline, it will not fox or degrade.

The site is as much a resource as a point of sale and I am happy for people to suggest new items and content. The range is steadily growing, new things each month.

Gwen at Historic Enterprises stocks some of my work and for US buyers I suggest you make that your first port of call. A link to her site if you don't already have it on the web site.

Jorge

Nice one Jorge ... glad you're still doing this.

Had my first go at gilding the other day ... I think your craft is safe ;-)

Cheers
Dave

gilding is a very exacting art and not my strong point either.
