GROUP TITLE : The Nuremberg Contingent
FOUNDERS: Jamie & Christine Madison, Rookie Rudisill
FORUM HANDLE: Jamie & Christine
CONTACT INFO: e-mail madisondesign@mindspring.com
FOUNDED : 1996
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: North Carolina
PRIMARY ORGANIZATION TYPE: Military living history with emphasis on daily life/ historical craft /eating & drinking club
PRIMARY FOCUS YEAR: 1499
DETAILS: We seek to portray the soldiers and camp followers of the Nuremberg Contingent who fought for Kaiser Maximillian during the Swiss/Swabian War of 1499. We enjoy learning new crafts and making our gear. We currently have a well equipped camp, but we are still working on acquiring armor and more members. Our goal is to create an immersion experience (with the help of lots of good food and drink). In the works: a re-creation period tavern with a working fireplace for cooking, and a small working artillery piece.
