I am just curious, has the Armour Archive been hacked? I can enter most of the site. However the BBL, section seems for me, to be dead. I keep getting a "Time(ing) Out response, or a BBL Not responding. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have even written to JT, several times with no reply. I am curious and a bit worried. It might be my equipment. Any information would be helpful.

Thanks,

David

Same issue. I think something might have "tanked" on the server.

Actually I was signing in to ask this same question so I guess it isn't a localised problem. I think livinghistory.ie was hacked recently, some communist stuff popped up whenever I tried to visit the site. If I remember correctly it was that site.

Iyt dod come up briefly late last evening with a notice that they'd experience a power failure. Hopefully it is purely a hardware issue and not somnethine nefarious.

By power failure do you mean "power outage" (black out) or a "power supply" (hardware) problem?

It's still not up, which could be a hard drive crash and a data integrity problem.

Dunno. There was a notice across the top of the board saying that Yes, there had been a power failure but the clocks had been reset, or something to that effect.

I don't know what it is, but I'm aware of the thousands of AA addicts across the country turning blue from AA deprivation.

*thought* didn't a hacker take down MySpace last week? Maybe someone is targeting big, active BBBs.

Gwen, not too blue yet, but gasping a bit.

The Archive has not been hacked.

This is the statement that Matt Broadway gave me to post here. Please pass it on.

The Archive is experiencing technical (hardware) related issues to the server which houses the forums (the rest of the site is unaffected). In the past, when instances like this have occured, JT has gotten everything back in gear within a two week time span. Please refrain from sending in numerous emails to JT about the current status of the forums. They will be back up as soon as the current situation is fixed.

Or

The archive has been hacked by Hezbollah gorillas. Has something to do with isrealies. or the crusades or something...

2 weeks? There will be corpses in front of computers all across the US for sure if it takes 2 weeks to restore the AA.

Jeff asked if the AA's server was in someone's laundry room somewhere in Minnesota. I told him no but maybe I was wrong?

Thanks for the update.
