(I'm cross posting this so my apologies if you've seen it elsewhere)

Hi all-

Jeffrey is in Scotland for 3 weekends of jousting in the Royal Armouries Live series. He arrived yesterday and unfortunately his laptop crashed and burned shortly thereafter. He really needs to be able to work while he's over there, so we have to try to get him sorted before he gets back.

Anyone know a Mac expertin the UK? Are you Mac expert in the UK who can lend a hand? Getting Jeff a new laptop isn't so much an issue as retrieving the info from his nonfunctioning machine is.

You can email me at gwen@historicenterprises.com. Any help really appreciated!

Thanks-

Gwen

He's on his way to Culzean Castle with Toby on Friday, jousting there the weekend and then will be going back to Glasgow for a couple of days (I think). The whole trip was rather free-form and unplanned between the weekends, so I'm not sure where he'll end up.

Next weekend (July 23/4) they're at Kittochside,The Museum of Scottish Country Life, and the last weekend they're at House of the Binns.

We got the laptop from a guy on the AA; he and another fellow have chimed in with some tips which I've sent over to Toby, in case Jeff can't pick them up himself. See the thread here: http://forums.armourarchive.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=48016
