This must be the French King Charles VI - the one often described as "recurrently insane". [ 03-16-2005: Message edited by: Jeff Johnson ] -------------------- Geoffrey Bourrette Man At Arms

?? I suspose as the old addage goes, copying is the sincerest form of flattery. It isn't an exact duplicate, but hey...I'm not worried about it. Besides this site will probably be going through a major overhaul in the next 6 months and 1998 parchment is a tad dated. I've said it before, but it's time for a change and if all the planning works well in the design and testing stages, I hope to roll the new WA site in June and then upgrade the board. They are still around, and doing most of The Knights of St. Deny's former gigs. Since one of our founders retired, and Patty and I moved to Tennessee, that leaves only one founding member up north, along with the rest of the guys. Consequently, the two groups have more-or-less merged, but with a 15th C. focus that we, as a time line group, never had. They are trying, but like us, are victims of the current economic crisis and can only do so much while still making the mortgage payment. To add insult to injury, Tom and his wife are attempting to board a half dozen horses outside of a city. I can't imagine adding $450.00 per month to my current financial situation for two horses. I spend about $30.00 per month on grain and hay on my own land. I say give them the benefit of the doubt for trying against incredible odds. If they weren't 8 hours away, we'd join them. But at $2.20 per gallon for gas, it's just too much. Plus, neither we, or them, have ever had insurance like what Chef is dealing with in the Retreat to Calais, and Tom's horse apparently stepped on a foot during one of those "photo ops", and was sued along with the city of Cincinnati. This country seems to suck worse every day. Consequently, we are going to stay on our mountain until y'all come to your senses!-------------------- VERITAS IN INTIMO VIRES IN LACERTU SIMPLICITAS IN EXPRESSO

Never been sued, hope never to be sued. The reality is that insurance is the way to go, either that or we just only camp out "the old fashioned" way to amuse ourselves and our friends and not allow the public anywhere NEAR us. Fortunately, whilst on Museum grounds we are covered. But I'd rather have the backup.I wish I were on the bench for all of the stupid, frivilous lawsuits, just to be able to say, "Why are you wasting our time and the taxpayers' money? Perhaps you are familiar with Article III of the Bill of No Rights...No? Well then... ARTICLE III: You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful. Do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy." *sigh* Why can't people just be responsible for their own actions instead of looking for a monetary free-ride? -------------------- ad finem fidelis
