Author Topic: Modern functional armor for sale Hale Member Member # 133 posted 03-23-2001 12:18 PM                   A very good friend of mine is selling a suit of armor. It is mainly stainless of various gauges and designed for Jousting. Roughly 14th-15th century with applied exsperience of usage to the construction. The back and breast are in mint condition and have never been worn. He is willing to sell the armor as pieces but would prefer to sell the whole suit. If you are interested in seeing pictures and or haggling with him his name is Matthew Mansour and you can reach him at mansour-designs@prodigy.net *It is of note that some of the pieces are from the "Valarious Armories" out of Milwaukee which no longer produce anything, but they were very good. Also the back and breast are from "Stallari Armories" out of Portland, Or. which are also closed. Although they may not meet any requirements for the re-enactor they are extremely well made and will stand up to quite alot of punishment. Since I and most people I associate with do live fighting, on a regular basis, we are more into function than historical pressence. Sorry if the stainless upsets anyone but for our useage it serves an invaluable purpose. Doing engagements on a regular basis makes one want to avoid rust and the chore of cleaning.
