Speaking of movies, has anyone ever come across a copy of the French movie "Jeanne la Pucelle"? I believe it came out in 1997 or 98.

I have the soundtrack featuring the music of Geordi Savall and it is *magnificent*. I am told by my friend Michael (of Wolgemut fame) that Geordi Savall is one of the world's foremost medieval musicians, and he has reinterpreted the works of 13th and 14th C. musicians such as Dufay for the soundtrack.

The photos from the movie contained on the CD are very intriguing and I would love to see the film but to date can't locate a copy. Can anyone help?

Even if the movie can't be found, I highly recommend the soundtrack. I believe we found ours at Blockbuster a bit over a year ago.

I found some leads and will investigate them later.

Does it matter if it is dubbed or not? Also, does the sound track list the actors/actresses? This is to make sure I find the right one, apparently there might be a few of them.

Dubbed or subtitles are fine- my french isn't good enough to do it without some sort of help and I would like to understand the dialog....

The CD is at the shop, I'll send whatever info is on it when I go in in a bit.

Thanks!

Stupid Internet connection !

Anyway, I have been looking and so far I have found only one place that has the film listed.

Jeanne La Pucelle (1994) is listed in Django's database.

Use their advanced search. My internet connection keeps bottoming out on me when I hit their database. I can get the film name, but not the price or availability, though it says it is in stock. I think it is in French, I haven't been able to ascertain whether or not it is subtitled.

Hi Lee-

Thanks for the other resource! I was able to purchase this film through DJango's, right after Jenn posted the link.

I think I posted a review somewhere on one of these boards, but the summary was I liked it a lot. You have to know it moves slowly like most French films, but I really liked it.

Maybe I'll be able to get another copy of the soundtrack through your link..
