The Festival of Saint George at Kinser was a resounding success!! My heartfelt thanks to all that helped and all that attended, your enthusiasm, chivalry, and largesse were incredible!. I'll say that the Fiore approach is the most direct and to the point martial art I have seen. I had a great deal of trouble for a while because I just couldn't believe it was that straightforward. When the torches were lit and the Pas started, the whole list area became surreal. A long look in 360 degrees revealed nothing that destroyed the illusion; there were some small anachronisms, but they were lost in the background. We're not yet living history, but the improvement was dramatic. I'd like to particularly thank the folks here at Firestryker for their support, advice, and above all their patience with us as we reach higher. The park supervisor was so impressed that he offered us a better section of the park away from modern sights. (aside to Genevra - Instead of hearing "WalMart's got some new duct tape" I heard "well, I spoke to Gwen last week and she said my hosen would ship next week." Refreshing change.)

I'm glad things went so well! But...I have to say after looking at your pictures--YOU HAVE A KEESHOND! I had one, Wolf, for many years and he was the most amazing dog. Smart, protective, friendly, you name it. We used to say that if he had opposable thumbs we would have to hide the car keys. Sadly, we lost him last summer, but we had several litters of fine puppies from him and we still have his younger lady love, Misty. I have taken them both to many events, horse shows, etc over the years. They were always exactly what the information I've researched on "The Dutch Barge Dog" said they should be. Watchful and protective of their "family" and "family's stuff" without being aggressive; friendly to all as long as their "family" member said it was okay; loyal, smart and loving. When Wolf died, our friends called us, weeping over him as we did. I've been told they are period for 15th-17th century but I haven't been able to find a great deal to support that. Sorry for the tangent, I just was excited to see another Keeshond. Brenna -------------------- Where in this world can man find nobility without pride, friendship without envy, beauty without vanity? Here, where grace is laced with muscle, and strength by gentleness confined. He serves without servility; he has fought without enmity. There is nothing so powerful, nothing less violent; there is nothing so quick, nothing so patient. England's past has been borne on his back. All our history is his industry: we are his heirs, he is our inheritance. Ladies and gentlemen: The Horse! - Robert Duncan's "Tribute to the Horse"

Hi, Anna!Glad you had as much time as I and my lady wife did. Your pictures of the class and the tournament seemed to turn out much better than the ones we took did. Ah, well. We appreciate your help with the pavilion, and will send a letter (as soon as I find out where Rebecca put the Fiore flyer, that is!). Hopefully, we'll see more of you folks in the future. Hi Bob, my problem wasn't getting to the St. Olaf site, it was viewing the Kinser event. I can see it fine from home. No worries.Jenn -------------------- ad finem fidelis
