(Can you tell by now that I'm bored tonight????)I'm tired of always talking about serious stuff, so I'm flooding the boards with dreck tonight. Sorry, I'll go back to being serious, contentious and all-knowing tomorrow... Best costumes in a medieval or medieval-esque movie and why. "Macbeth" (Mel Gibson, Glenn Close). Wonderfully evocotive, opulent clothes. Wrong in many details (love Mel's sweater) but it "feels" right. Great colors and textures, fantastic drape and movement. Yummy all the way around. Next!!

My dearest Gwen...*SLAP* *SLAP* *WHACK* Now, after that gentle reminder, I'm sure what you MEANT to say was "Hamlet" rather than "Macbeth". Geez, you'd think an educated lady would get her Shakespeare right. As for coolest costumes, my fav has got to be the 1952 "Ivanhoe". Except for the Technicolor license, again the older movie is much more accurate than most current ones. I won't even go into "Messenger" which is a movie I actually turned off in the middle. And I never do that.
