Has anyone read a copy of _Woven into the Earth_ by Else Ostergaard (see description here)? It seems to be on the Herjolfsnes finds. The table of contents looks promising - can anyone chime in on whether it is worth spending $50 on?

Thanks!

Yes, I own that one. I don't know the original publication, but the book is great. Extraordinary photos of the clothing found, and very good articles about weaving in general, colours, textiles in the countryside etc.
A must-have in my opinion, no matter what time and region of the middle ages you are interested in.

Seen it. It's got some very detailed analysis of the garments & fragments.

I think you'd love it.

Christmas list?

Just got back from the UK, so just saw this. If you're interested in historical clothing/textils, in my opinion it's a must have. Well worth the money.
