need some new research armour books. any thoughts?

The Armour books from the Cleveland Museum and the Chicago Art Institute. Both have outstanding photos of the arms and armour of their collections.

regarding the metalurgical analysis of some of the armour by Dr. Williams is a bargain at the price.

I dont own the Churburg catalogs, But I've seen them and feel they are well worth the price. Also "Katalog Der Liebrustkammer" a two volume set from the Kusthistorisches Museum is excellent. Written in German, but not to difficult to translate, many good photos and info, very reasonable price.I'd also second Bobs choice on the Rhodes armour book...Otto

How about:
Arms and Armour of the Crusading Era...(2 volumes) by David Nicolle.
