I'm hoping to take my little brother to see the wallace Collection sometime in the next 2 months or so, does anyone have any pieces they'd like photographed from obsecure angles? The cases are fairly open and i've got a fairly good Digital camara.

You should make sure thgey allow photography first; it used to be strictly forbidden.

I took a few last time i was there, they didn't seem to mind.

I will check though, thanks for mentioning it. Nothing you fancy seeing that elusive rear angle of?

Oh yes please. The Stechzeug for the tilt. The German jousting harness with the Frogmouth, no leg harness and the simple x for a backplate. Any pics from different angles and showing some of the detail would be much appreciated, I am having a repro of this harness built soon and the more pics the better.

Photgraphy is not allowed at the Wallace unless you have made prior arrangements with the curators. If allowed to do so you will have to sign a waiver that bars you from publishing the pictures in any form without their consent.

I would really like to know how you managed to take pictures without doing this before. This has been their policy for the last few years.

Regards,

Hi all,

I am visiting the Wallace Collection next week. Should I look up some details for you? Perhaps I can get a glance on it...did also write them for a photographing permission, but no answer until yet.

Best regards

Peter
