Hi guys and girls,

Has anyone bought this book yet?

I saw Dave Key's description of it here at Fire Stryker, but it differs from the description on the Royal Armouries web site.

They (the Royal Armouries) do not include the chapter about, “The crossbow in Britain from the c9th to the c20th”, in the list of what this book covers.

This is the part for which I would buy this book, so I really would like to know if it will be included.

Thank you,

Sorry for the Looong delay in replying ... too much work so been away for too long ... the Royal Armouries have a tendency to not put all of the contents of their monographs in the descriptions which is a real pain. If you send them an e-mail they will be able to answer the query ...
Cheers
Dave

Mike,

Again, this is kinda late, but yes Volume 6 (2001) does include this article, and it is very informative. Lots of pictures and references as well, though not as much on my period (c.1200) as I'd like. So it goes.
