I have undertaken a project to collect primary / documentary evidence for military provisioning on the Continent. I'm focusing on the years 1450-70 in Burgundy.I would be most grateful for any contributions to this endeavor. Recognizing a serious dearth of information on this topic, I will be happy to take any references to anything to do with the feeding of troops any time in the 1400's on the Continent or England. This includes ordinance lists, military organization treatises, secondary references (such as Froissart), leet roles - anything really. The purpose of this is to establish some hard parameters for what we should and should not eat at LH / Armet events, and my intention to make this information generally available to groups. Thanks! Hello. The Companie of Saynte George (Gerry Embletonīs troupe) have recently put their formerly internal magazine "Dragon" on their homepage. In one of the volumes is an article on military diet in 1470-80. Regards Ivo -------------------- Ivo

I have that issue, and it's a pretty good start, but it mostly talks about ingrediants. How about recipes? Gwen,Long time away I'm afraid ... I still have the refs for the documents in the Public Record Office which include lists of the victuals taken on several campaigns (France & Scotland) during Henry VI's and Edward IV's reigns ... hopefully early next year I'll be able to start trawling through them. I'll keep you posted. Cheers Dave
