and I was even looking at that manuscript two years ago, and I completely forgot about it...sheesh...that's what you get when you research too much...
Anyways, the Tacuinum would be exactly the age Talbot was looking for. Now if we only found other evidence than pictures...might want to look into inventories...

The various versions of the Tacuinum are a great source- a little Italo-centric, though.
