I realized that none of the people helping to organize this event have thought to put this information on this board as well. (big oversight) So in an attempt to make amends...A Fiore Symposium with Bob Charron being organized in the DFW area. Currently the dates being looked at are July 8th or 15th. This should be finalized soon. The cost is still up in the air because it is dependant on how many people come (more people, cheaper price). If your interested in medieval combat this class is a must. If interested please contact me ASAP stating so and your prefered date. If you would like to know more about Bob or the class he will be putting on, visit the sites below. Here is some info on Bob http://www.schola-solis.com/Workshop/wmaexcerpt.htm Here is some info on Fiore http://www.geocities.com/st_martins_academy/flos.html and here is some info on his class.... http://www.schola-solis.com/Workshop/flyer.htm The class at this point does not have enough interest to go forward. It would be a shame to loose the opportunity. If you are in the DFW area (or close enough to get there) I highly recomend attending this class.
Thank you in advance for your support.

I recently attended Bob’s class at the sword symposium in N. California. I highly recommend his course; it’s very entertaining and enlightening. I had no idea just how funny the Italian masters were… lots of translated 15th c. trash talk “I will beat you like a peasant” and so forth. He walked us through many of the maneuvers in Fiore’s text, starting with the wrestling, the foundation of Fiore’s martial training…. I can’t recommend this class enough. Have fun, Mark- -------------------- Revenge is a dish best served cold… with a light vinaigrette sauce and a sprig of parsley

Ah yes, sorry about that, been in the general area all my life, never considered someone not knowing what DFW was. Then again, why would you.Yes, as stated DFW is Dallas/Fort Worth. The event has picked up a number of people now and seems back on track on happening. I am pressing the group to finalize on a date now. The location should be The University of Dallas but that is getting finalized with the date. Sorry for not being clearer in the initial post. If there are any other questions you might have please ask. Janos [ 05-18-2001: Message edited by: Janos ]

HI All, thanks for FireStryker to cross-post this...the latest info can be found at the URL above, then. FYI--location changed a little bit to accommodate those who are not strictly from the Metroplex (DFW/Dallas-Forth Worth) such as you, Janos... The date is July 14. More on the other forum.Take care, Anna -------------------- --Soldiers live. And wonder why--
