The way I see this, we have at least the following Firestryker people planning to be at Pennsic:

Jeff
Gwen
Geoffrey de Lyon
Robert de Tyre
Kieran Macleod
Mike Tartaglio
Jon Androsky
Jamie & Christine Madison

I'd like to suggest a Firestryker Wine & Cheese Social for one night. We can have it at our "house", and invite other like minded folks, like the La Belle people, Mac & Marianne (McPherson), John Vernier, Talbot, etc.

I volunteer the place and the munchies. Anyone want to come, or suggest a night? (I'm thinking Tuesday)

Gwen

That sounds great! Count me in, any day is good for me so long as it is during the second week. Unfortunately my vacation time for me is premium and I can't get more than 7 days off at a pop.

How much? Ok, I'll take two.

Hi all,

Bob Here - we had a lightning strike that fried the modem on my computer so I'm working off Jenn's. Just an "after action report".

The Seventh annual Higgins fair went off without a hitch for us, despite everything going wrong that possibly could for Jenn and I the week leading up to it (culminating with the lightning strike the day before).

We had two arming demonstrations, a table of 15th c. artifacts, and we did two halberd drills that were interactive with the public, and were very well recieved. The future relationship between our company and the Museum is very promising.

DOH! she says, hitting herself a resounding SMACK in the forehead with the heel of her hand....

I wouldn't DREAM of encroaching on RibNight. How about Monday or Thursday? Wednesday is that wretched Midnight Madness nonsense, so that's out for us.

Gwen:

Monday evening would be lovely. My lady wife and I will be there, and probably Geoffrey de Leon and his lady Johanna le Marechal. I can speak for him (he's camping with us, anyway)...of course, the lucky sod's off sunning himself in Florida with his lady this week.

What type of wine should we bring?

Folks,
I was wondering if anyone who's going to be camping at Pennsic might be able to set aside some room for me, my wife Christine, and my 2nd in command, Rookie, to pitch our tents. We aren't involved with an SCA group, so we do the single camping thing at Pennsic, but last year we ended up camping 30 minutes away from everything. It made it rough if you forgot something in camp. Also, it would be nice to not be surrounded by modern tents, sun-showers, and lawn furniture. If anyone could help out I would be eternally grateful. We would be willing to pitch in with camp chores, beer and ice runs, etc.
Thanks-Jamie

Hey, all. Mike T. here. I'll check in with Gwen and Jeff for the final say on the get together. I would volunteer our back 40 for extra camping, but the merchant autocrat would probably skin us and, besides, our back 40 is on an incline dropping steeply into a pond, not the best camping space. I'll check back sooner to the date to see when and who. Oh, poor Anne-Marie! Suffering through Europe without us.... Mike T.

We're leaving for Pennsic tomorrow. Everyone who is on this list who is going I pray will have a safe journey there, a good time while there, and a safe journey back to their loved ones.

I envy all you lucky people that get to go to Pennsic a week ahead of me while I sit at this bloody machine for 11 hours a day . I'm going to go pout.

Seriously, have a safe journey everyone. I'll see you all at the wine and cheese bash.

Fort Washington, MD

Time line event in third person. More of an "Evolution of Military Technology" event than a reenactment, but should still be fun.

LaBelle will be participating

JeffJ?

Nope this Jenn, don't know if there are any others, won't be going. One of us has to sit and mind the keep. Actually we are house sitting and Nana sitting for mes parents. I decided to let Bob go to PA , but he's gonna owe me...BIG.

I love our horses dearly, but that doesn't mean I enjoy hunting for "easter eggs" in the shavings.

Hi Guys,

Just as an aside, our monthly presentation at the Higgins was a very special day yesterday (Feb 3rd). During our second show we had in attendance Mr. Higgins daughter, who seemed to enjoy what we were doing.

It felt like we were giving back something to the founder of the museum.
