Hey all,

I'm at last making some progress on my new armour. I've been using the same stuff for over 10 years, so I figure it's time. Shoemaker's kids, y'know.

I have other pieces at the same state as the cuirass which I'm showing here, and I'll put them up as time allows.

The inner front plate is .062" 1095 spring steel and the rest is .045" 1050 spring. I think I can just get the inner cuirass then the plackards w/ faulds into the kiln to heat treat as two units. Unfortunately the kiln's just not big enough for it all together, and that's one big piece of hot metal to lift out of there anyway.

The cuirass is based on the Massaglia cuirass in Berne.

The rest of the suit is spring also, BTW.
