Hi Dave,Fustian was considered a nicer sort of cloth, that is not as expensive as brocade or silk, which would be inappropriate unless portraying someone in the middleing ranks of the arristocracy, or the upper middle class (depending on country). It was a nice enough material that you see it cropping up in inventories of knightly families. There is a place on the web that has real linen warp/cotton weft fustisan, for @ $5 a yard. -------------------- Bob R.
