Hi All,I will post some pics when I get a chance, firstly pictures Jeff took, then eventualy pictures of me in the new rig. For those of you unaware, I had on order for a while now a new half harness, based on Lucerne HM 11, and the pauldrons and vambraces of Curatone B2. I just recieved them today, and I must say the harness is smashing - first rate. Jeff has captured the look of HM 11 very well, considering I'm a heavier guy than it was made for, but it is readily identifiable even with the most casual comparison. The arm harness & pauldrens look and work supurbly. This new harness has all those little niggly details lacking on most modern reproductions, which really makes it stand out of the crowd and look very like an original. As a for instance, the points on the plackart of the cuirasse, and the rear plates of the cuirasse all have the decorative filework found on the original. Not on the original, but much in keeping with harness circa 1450 - 1480 is a pontille work prayer/invocation just below the collar of the cuirasse loosely translated "and none shall break a bone of him". Also high on the coolness factor is the hand manufactured rose rosettes on the tasset strap rivets. Although possibly fractionaly heavier than my old cuirasse & arms, it feels much lighter - probably because it fits like a glove. I can't say enough good about the harness, and it has pride of place in my collection. I can hardly wait to wear it 'in earnest'. -------------------- Bob R.

Can't wait to see the pics! Those little details count for so much. And ain't it cool to have stuff that fits? My cuirass is only a few pounds lighter than it was before customization, but I wears like it was half the weight. -------------------- Geoffrey Bourrette Man At Arms

Hi Jeff,As soon as I may, I'll post them. If Jeff wants to show off his handiwork, he could probably post it quicker than I (technologicaly challenged troglodite that I am) could get Jenn to upload it to the website - we are going flat out to put the final touches on the Fiori seminar. Care to post a pic Jeff? If he does, all I can say is the picture will hardly do it justice, and it will still look very stunning. Just wait till you see the livery that Gwen wil be making me to go with it.........

Absolutely fantastic. I've been following the progress of this cuirass and eagerly awaiting the "finished" pics. You work always serves to inspire me.[ 04-12-2002: Message edited by: Michael ] -------------------- Michael Shedden http://www.barbute.com/armour

Hi Templar Bob,And so it shall be, featured in our monthly presentations at the Hioggins. At last I have a harness that I feel comfortable about entirely without worrying about compromises to authenticity. -------------------- Bob R.
