Has anyone ever heard of Historic Castings http://www.historiccastings.co.uk/ run by Ron Spencer? I have been trying on and off for three years to get an order out of him. When contacted via email, he assures me that he sells stuff, but when I place an order, that is the last I hear of him. Admitedly not updating his webpage in two years is an indication, but I have email from him dated late 2002 assuring me he has most items in stock.

Is there any legal recourse that I may attempt?

Actually Chef and I have.

We tried to order from him back in 2001. His response was definately spotty/poor at the time but we did get an answer.

According to Ron back then, he had stopped producing (or so he claimed)because the Rayne foundry had shut down due to lack of business.

At the time, he had only a few small odds n ends pieces. Which was disappointing as we were looking at a couple proper cauldrons, pans, and I think Chef wanted a pair of his candlesticks.

We haven't heard from him since. And I have to admit that I've looked at the website from time to time to look for updates or messages but I haven't seen any. There is a secondary website from him on another set of webpages but no updates there either.
