Hi All,

Here are pictures of a new addition to my panoply of arms, by Arms & Armour. The new toy is a gift of esteemed Erik D. Schmid.

The mace is based on the example in the Wallace displayed with the A22 harness, and on other originals in private collections. It has been altered from their production model to closer conform to authentic example, the head being cast of a piece, the shaft tapered along it's length. The grip is the 'pruned branch' pattern, popular in mid-late 15th century art, examples of this style grip are found on extant maces (there is a lovely set of pruned branch spurs I might like made someday).

The stats are as follows

Overall Length - 22.75"
Length of Head - 4"
Length of Hilt - 6"

I haven't wieghed it yet. it is one of the most substantial weapons I have had the pleasure of owning.
