Sorry I have no idea what you are trying to replicate. Without a picture to compare it to, I have no idea.

Yes, I guess I am caught out on the 'modern' military helmet statement. I was thinking of the WWII helmets and not the one issued to me, sitting in the closet. I don't know why you would want to make something medieval out of modern kevlar.

hey, i was just teasing about the making me cry part. no sleep makes my sense of humor twist.

the helmet is "representative" of a salet with rondels. there are many represented throughout the iconography of 15th cent. the the rondels vary in size and elaboration. also i still need to modify the tail slightly. you might find some example in Rene d'Anjou.
