Today is my birthday, and this is my present, my new armor that Jeff is making for me. The elbows and breast are 1050 spring steel,which will be heat-treated, the rest mild. The breast still needs armhole gussets.:

Yes, I have an 8 year old Percheron gelding, 17 hh, 1700 lbs approximately, by the name of Monte, short for Buffomante, 'Beautiful Mountain'.

Cool. Wish I did. I feel funny wearing a mounted person's acoutrements without the horse. Then again, the places we reenact at around here don't usually allow horses.

That armor's going to look great sitting atop a big Percheron.
