Author Topic: Bleaching Linen? Charles I Member Member # 751 posted 05-07-2006 10:12 PM                Hi. I recently "inherited" a gambeson of linen which is half blue and half white. I would like to bleach out the blue and re-dye the whole thing a dark blue. Or, if I can't maybe find some way of dyeing the white half a pale yellow. I have been told that bleach is very hard on linen fibers. Any suggestions? -------------------- In every life some rain must fall... If I wish to change colours, I'll have to think like yellow + blue = Green. You might have to dye the white up to match. That may leave the blue a dark blue and the rest a pale yellow.
