I was just about to put the cisors in that *expensive* wool to cut out my son's hose when something strucked me as not being right ;

He's an archer and I'm making him a typical burgundian livery outfit (formal 1471) with argent & azur mi-parti hose and sleeveless vest (fitted tabard) with a red St-Andrew's cross.

Now here's what bugs me ; Some reenactors have the white on their right side and some other groups have the white on the left side. Is it just because it doesn't really mather or are some of them totaly wrong ???

I wanted to be done with his hosen tonight so I'd be really greatful for a quick response.

Oh, sorry...

I see that this issue has already been adressed in another discution here and it didn't really result in anything conclusive...

So I'll go with my own personnal feeling then

Excuse me for my bad english, french is my primary language.

In various texte, we find the left side is blue. But it's similary of heraldry, this code is correct for the reader.
For the wearer, left is white and right is blue.
