Okay I give up.
I have two questions that I need a little knowledgeable help with, what type of cape/coat was worn during the 15th cent? The only thing I can find is a heavy doublet of some kind and heavy hose am I missing some thing?
Second question is for the other season (I live in Texas we only have two) during the hot summer time we wear straw hats to beat the heat but what was worn in the mid 15th cent I have seen many nice hats but most of them are felt and I hate to sound like a wimp but sheesh that would get a bit too hot for this fella.
Thank you for any help yall can give.

If you have any say in the schedule of your group, you may want to see if they can hold events during slightly cooler months. Avoid events in July and August, go for February and November.

As far as latitude, your examples are correct, Peder, but latitude doesn't always correspond... Southern Wisconsin and the South of France are approximately the same, as a distant Swedish cousin of mine discovered when, upon visiting Wis. in February, she was surprised that she couldn't use the bikini she'd brought for sunbathing!
