I am starting to assemble a late 14th/early 15th century kit for WMA use (Ledall, Harlien & Silver's two handed sword are my focus). I am looking at the Revival Clothing gambesons, but think I want something more period. I've been searching the HE website and haven't really found what I'm after. Are there any plans to include a pourpoint (I think that's spelled right?), and/or a padded jack? If not, could anyone else point me in the right direction?

Secondly, I'm unsure as to what exactly I'd need for this period. So far I'm thinking braies, hose, turnshoes, linen shirt, pourpoint (I don't really like the look of HE's doublet) and a gown such as HE's "G63". For bouting, I'd add in a padded jack, gauntlets, vambracers and a helm, maybe a gorget too. Ideally I'll be able to upgrade to a harness at some point in the future. Do I seem to be missing anything?

Cheers!

Any way you could translate the description of these "padded hosen" I assume for wearing under maille chausses?
http://www.matuls.prv.pl/
Spodnie pikowane

Dwa rodzaje płótna i bawełna.
Warstwy zewnętrzną i wewnętrzną z tkanin lnianych +20zł.

Dostępne różne kolory. Przy zamówieniu prosimy sprecyzować.

Nogawice 120zł
Spodnie 160zł

One thing I'm a bit hazy on is the doublet/tunic issue. Do you wear your tunic over your doublet? If so, won't the puffy arms be annoying under the closer fitting tunic arms? Or am I totally off base?

If you are not insistent upon having a ready-made gambeson I belive that Mistress Katea at http://www.mediaevalmisc.com/ might be able to help find a suitable patern for the period you describe. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much! That sounds like what I am looking for. Split leg, linen front & back.
