my freind made me the wooden block. it is shaped like #135 from the MOL shoes and pattens book. i would like to strap it like #136 (also in #132) with "a thin leather strip which acted as a 'washer' and probably ran completly around the sole" how does this affect the hinge? has anyone made a reconstruction like it?
