as per the ordinances of Charles the Bold, his troops were issued livery in partie white and blue with a red St. Andrews cross. but what about the tape around the edge of the paletots? most groups portray them as yellow. i've seen only one reproduction in red. any prescribed instruction on its colour?

Hi Dan,

Nope, not to my knowledge. We arbitrarily use yellow for soldiers, and red (velvet) for those with command functions or men at arms, but there is nothing I have seen deliniating any particular edging or lining colour.
