Author Topic: casein (milk) glues and paints? freiman New Member Member # 312 posted 08-30-2002 05:06 AM                folks, I have been trying to document the use of casein glues and paints in period. for those who might not know, Casein glues are those glues made from milk curds, and casein paints would be the same stuff wioth pigments. The author's are Annie Sloan and Kate Gwynn. It is an obscure reference though saying something like 'Pliny mentions milk and egg being used in ancient wall paintings....' I hope that this helps a bit. It was the only think I could find in the stuff that I have. -------------------- I am looking. For what you ask? I don't know, but if I find it I will let you know.
