I'm playing with making some fur lined clothes at the moment - specifically a surcote and hood (I do early-mid C14 stuff). Not having the means to acquire a couple of hundred skins of miniver, I've had a bit of a play with lambskin (specifically, I've assembled a hood lining, which has come out pretty well, but rather stiff, sitting oddly when I push the hood back).

I'm now cogitating and contemplating how this will work through the body of the surcote.

Any suggestions, observations or words of wisdom?
