Starting with a pair of Irish slippers for Patty made from one piece of leather with thongs holding it around the foot (Irish, 4th to 8th C.), I next made a pair of center-seamed Frankish carbatines:

Next, I just finished a pair of moose hide Viking turnshoes:

The description of which is in Research and Authenticity on the Armour Archive, and since there are at least half a dozen more expert here, I won't repeat it. I have a pair of 12 - 13th C. turnshoe ankle boots that I purchased, so the next step is a pair of pointed-toed 14th C. slippers. Then I will attempt the thigh-high 15th C. riding boots.
I have some research to do before I start asking questions, but thought I'd show my progress so far!
