Thats basicly it, who has read it, and what do they think of it.
I just recieved a copy and found it to be a nice book.

I've not read it either, sorry. I found it on Amazon but there were no reviews and very little helpful info about the book.

Perhaps ABD could post a review? It might help others decide whether they should track down a copy.

When i glanced through it a couple of months ago my impression was a nice book that I would want to own. But I also collect books and frequently use my collection to introduce new people to the joys of research.

It stuck me as something that would be useful as a beginers resource. It has decent information and points to other resources but it is not a scholarly work in and of itself.

If you have any interest in this book the review will be very welcome. Interestingly enough there is a rebuttal of sorts from the publisher of the book contained in this thread. I can't say that I've *ever* seen a publisher defend or distribute an apology for a book they've put out, so this is rather novel.

BTW, if you're interested in the period 1250-1325, you really need to bookmark/join Peder's list.
