Hello,

I does anyone know what the origional rules for the ancient game of Fidchell were? Does anyone out there play it still? (Besides me?)

If so what rules do you use and have you noticed that the King's side seems to be the easiest. I play the game in sets in order to help balance the game, but does anyone else have any other ideas?
Here's a link to the rule that we use here. http://www.gamecabinet.com/history/Hnef.html

Hi Swordsmith,
I don't think any of us here play the game. It is a bit earlier than the scope of the board and most of the members' groups, though it sounds interesting.

Cheers,

Jenn
