FYI- The name for the "bumps" on glasswear is prunts (another bit of arcane info for ya!
)Noone has posted it yet, but you can find many styles of historical glasswear at
http://www.northerner.com/
Sort through the modern Scandivavian stuff and they have *lots* of real, documentable styles from many periods.
The company is reputable and reliable. The glasswear arrives in fine condition, having been appropriately packed for the long trip.
Jeff and I have the lamp (same as the one Mikate posted yesterday in the "oil lamps" thread) a small carafe and 2 glasses. They are thin, clear and beautifully done, unlike some of the crude, thick glass being pawned off as "historical". Although not cheap, we felt the pieces are well worth the cost. I think we paid somewhere around $27 for our tall glass, $22 for my small glass with prunts and piecrust foot, and about $65 for the carafe with lines and piecrust foot.
