As most of you know, I have been researching the Burgundian companies of ordinance for some time now, and of course learn a little, and then run into dead ends.

I have come up with a list of some ordinance company names, and I have been crawling my way painfuly through Die Burgunderbeute, and have managed to decipher some flags belonging to specific numbered companies - here is what I have so far - there were a dozen companies of ordinance.

Companies:

Loycete
Brochuysen
Chanteraine
Menton
Longueval
Vanperghe

I have found flags belonging to companies numbered

III
VII
VIII
and
Vieux Arquebesers
Archers of the guard

Can anybody match a number with a name? I would be greatly indebted. How could I go about finding this information? I know the Ducal accounts largly exist, and are in a Museum and University in Dijon - how do I go about getting the appropriate information from them?

Tentatively we are portraying company Chanteraine - hopefully its number will match an existing flag identified, and we can go from there. On the other hand, If I can match a name/number/flag from another company, we will go with that, as I'd much prefer being able to link everything together, instead of looking at the pretty pictures and going with what moves us.
