I want to put a kit together representing a civilian outfit for either a very minor noble or well to do commoner circa 1240.

Looking at the Historic Enterprises website I've decided to get most of my kit there, but I have a couple of queries. Firstly, I really like the herjolfsnes "g63" shirt, but it seems to be a century too late. Is it concievable to have it in my kit, and if not, is there anything similar about that is accurate? I really like how it isn't plain, but still fairly simple looking.

Secondly, I'm having trouble finding accurate cloaks to look at. I know a cloak is a fairly simple garment, so would it be fair to say a cloak from 1240 is pretty much the same as one from the 10th century?

Thanks for any help!
