Howdy all-

Admin., I realize this is OOP for FireStryker and hope you won't mind me putting this up...

A few weeks ago I mentioned the arquebusier outfit I was doing for Ft. Caroline National Monument in Jacksonville, FL in another post (“Methodology”), and I thought you all might be interested in seeing the final product. This is the one I delivered in November. I am currently working on the second outfit- charcol grey slops/ hose / sleeves and a dark crimson red doublet, all with black trim. Should be rather spif!

Jeffrey is of course my model. The outfit fits the ranger better than Jeff, but the ranger wears glasses and I can’t bring myself to post photos of him in the suit in glasses!

Details:Doublet, pansid slops and hose are wool, shirt is linen. The gun is real and was custom made by Dale Shinn in (I believe) Northern California. Sword is Museum Reps (they’re not going to use it anyway), Jeff made all the leather and hardware. Apostles are modified by Jeff but originally came from Black Rose Creations (Used to be Syke’s Sutlery); bandolier and shot bag by Jeff.

Comments and questions are always welcome!

Gwen

Always takes me more than once to get the pictures to come up!

Very nice... Very nice indeed. Yes, somehow I think modern glasses would have ruined the effect.
