Hi. I am looking to buy some woad dye (small amount, enough to do a couple of tunics)but I cannot seem to find anyone selling it online. Any ideas?
I also am in need of instructions on how to use it (I am going out on a limb here and assuming it isn't as simple as RIT dye ). So, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

What exactly do you mean by "woad dye"? Woad itself, as a powder/plant? Dyeing with woad isn't all that easy if done historical, a little bit of explanation (german, sorry) here: http://www.familia-ministerialis.de/faerbenwaid.html
I know a german shop which has woad powder or in small pieces: http://www.naturtuche.de/index.php?cPath=26

Maybe I should have explained my intentions better. I was wondering if anybody sold woad dye that is ready to use. Powder would be acceptable if I couldn't get some ready to use. Thanks!

Charles, woad dye cannot be sold ready to use, you have to make it fresh, otherwise it does not work. If anyone would sell such to you, you can be sure, it's either not historical or not even real woad.

For dyeing with woad, you need woad or indigo powder, Natriumdithionid , ammoniak solution and natron (I hope this translation is correct, i never translated any terms into english).

And for "a couple of tuniques" you will need _lots_ of woad.
Why not buying the dyied cloth? you can order such dyeed with indigo here: http://www.faerbehof.de and at the link above.
