There are several places that'll do you a brigandine. All of them will charge you more than they would for plate, however, as a brigandine is a hell of a lot more work. Unfortunately, while brigs may be cheap in period, that's because labour is very cheap, and that's no longer the case. Dressed to Kill, White Rose and A Plaisance in the UK have all done brigandines, but we're taling £5-600 (USD 1,000) approx for DtK or White Rose. Mine was from A Plaisance, and was £350 (USD 600), but only because I comissioned it and agreed the price with him before he realised quite how much work there would be - he's told me there's no way he'd produce another at that price.

Hi I have just started an armoury in Holland and have made one Brigandine already, based on one in the Royal Armouries leeds (III.1663) that costs 650 euro, a little bit more if you would want silk velvet covering and gilded arming nails (rivets). I should have some photos of the one I made online soon. Cheers Joram -------------------- Fortiter et Fortis www.medievalproductions.nl

Are you looking for the plates, or the whole thing? (plates and coat)I have a couple of sets of Wisby in 18 steel, and one in plastic, cheap if you are interested,, and if you want a whole coat made we can talk like 250$ plus shipping if you do not want anything too fancy in materials. my email is ironmongermisc@yahoo.com

Hi Guys, I moved this forum from the H.E. forum. They don't offer Brigs or plates to make them. On a side topic, no plastic, just historical patterns only please. Thank you. Cheers, FS [ 06-15-2003: Message edited by: Fire Stryker ] -------------------- ad finem fidelis
