All-
Forgive my brash intrusion to the forum; I'm probably violating some protocols here. I am a long-time reenactor of later eras and I've dabbled with the SCA for some years as well, but I've found them sort of silly. I'm looking for a group circa late 14th/early 15th century not too far from Pittsburgh PA (western PA, Ohio, WV, western NY). Thanks.

Your servant,
John J. Ogden

Red Shield is 14th century LH/SCA group. They are a very nice group of people. I'd start there.

My 14th century group recently disbanded and I took to doing viking era Irish. We are in WV and couldn't find a whole lot of interest for our period....I guess we were competing with huntin' and nascar

You were with Primus's group?? I hate that yall went away.

I had the same problem in Alabama.

They'd do Viking or Civ war but not 14th C?

yeah, Primvs is a close friend as is Clang. Primvs is trying to hem-haw me into doing 1st century Briton to go with his 1st century Roman (guess he needs someone to conquer & civilise)I am working on an 11th century Irish kit right now. I may do the Briton thing as a side-job.

I am about 3-4 hours south of Pittsburgh and 3 hours east/southeast of Columbus, OH. Nothing much to do here. I would like to see a viking/irish LH event here in the winter (so much better than summer). That would be sweet.
