NOTE: Jef Fulton passed away in March 2010. I've not been able to verify whether The Knights of St. Denys are still around. All the links seem to be old.

Thread is kept for historical purposes.

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION Ohio, Indiana & Kentucky
PRIMARY ORGANIZATION TYPE Re-enactors, working towards Living History within a performance setting.
PRIMARY FOCUS YEAR Variable.
DETAILS The Knights of St. Denys is an equestrian group, striving for authenticity and generally staying within the 1470 - 1475 timeframe in Burgundy, especially for the private events where we are attempting to develop a living history approach.
We also are a timeline, with many members able to stretch from 850 to 1525 in their portrayals.
We follow the WMA form of competitive sword fighting, basing our fights off of period manuals.
Our members also are involved with other groups including Regia Anglorium, ARMA, EMA, ACW, the Friesian Horse Association of North America, as well as studying under Bob Charron.
As well as the timeline, some of our members have kit and harness to portray a number of different regions and cultures.

Hi...

You mention Indiana in your area of coverage. There is a high likelyhood I will be relocating from the Washington DC area to near Indianapolis... is that close enough to play with you folks? You need any archers?

Sorry, I didn't see this. One of the other guys pointed it out. I'm not sure what we are doing yet. We haven't got together. This weekend was the first one with decent weather, so hopefully things will start picking up in the next few weeks. We have members in Rockville (western Indiana), Pittsboro, (just west of Indianapolis), I am in Speedway (a suburb of Indianapolis, and one on the far east side of Indianapolis, along with folks in Cincinnati, Columbus & Louisville. I'll let you know as soon as we figure out the schedule.

Cheers!

I'll be in Muncie, so not terribly far away. I expect to move there in the early summer.
