I'm a cider gal. As a matter of fact we just picked up a gallon from the local market and will be mulling at our next meeting and at our holidaze gathering.

Spices: cinnamon chips, orange rind, whole cloves, whole allspice (bad Jenn, at least according to Gwen's list of evil spices not found in 15th c Europe ), orange oil and cinnamon oil.

I believe these are the traditional modern spices used for such things. Very tasty...
